Here endeth the blog

joelmbenge.wordpress.com is essentially a holding tank for the remnants of Thinking and Driving. So there’s nothing to see here.

Head over to my (somewhat) more active blog Smoke ‘n’ Bubbles.

It was time for a change

So, you’ll notice things look a little different around here lately. I decided the old, Podcast-centric Thinking and Driving needed to go. Maybe I’ll start podcasting again some day, and maybe I won’t. But all the crap on the sidebar was getting to me.

So, I picked this theme. I like it. If you like it, you should check out the other themes and stuff over at Horacio Bella’s. I may tweak, nip, and tuck the theme here and there to customize it. Definitely need to rebuild a gallery of some sort.

Great Spam Subjects

Raise your hands in triumphant maniacal laugher and repeat after me.

“There will be no stopping you once your instrument growth is complete!”

So I’m split on whether this is spam for a sexual enhancement product or an evil overlord supply company. My “instrument”? Am I expected to conquer the world with an army of generically modified robo-flutes? Or, to use the sexual-slant, “We are building a fighting phallus of extra-ordinary magnitude!

Points for conjuring a mad scientist vibe with this one.

What are they going to blame on him next? Pffft. “Liberal Media.”

Fox decides it need to “really” make up the news

Variety.com reports that, in response to The Daily Show and Colbert Report, Fox New Channel wants to have their own Right-Leaning “fake” news/humor show. Reportedly to air in January, the program will be produced by “24” co-creator Joel Surnow. Right, because I always feel like laughing when I see Jack Bauer nearly get blow’d up.

Doesn’t Fox already have a laughable, right-wing, fake new program? Oh yeah, Fox and Friends. I honestly can’t watch more than ten minutes of that program without either laughing at how poorly they present the news or being nauseous when I realize that people really listen to them. Once, I tuned to it on accident while at the gym. I thought I was watching the 700 club.
